Scholarship Requirements

Scholarships will no longer be granted to undergraduate students taking less than twelve (12) hours during a regular Fall and/or Spring term unless some sort of special program is involved and which must be explained in great detail. If we receive grades for less than the required 12 hours, funds will be denied for the following semester.
In order for your scholarship to continue as granted you must have an overall C, or better, average at the end of the semester with no failures. A mark of "I" (incomplete) will hold your funds for that semester only or, until that mark is clarified as a passing mark, whichever comes first. It is your responsibility to see that such a mark is clarified before the next semester begins if you want your scholarship money to be continued as awarded. Because of the volume of request we are receiving and the amount of bookkeeping involved we no longer have the time to contact you about this problem.
Also, if your scholarship is to continue the next semester we must receive a copy or your grades and a request for continued funding, provided you have met the grade requirement, by the assigned date. If you will not have your grades by that date we must be informed in writing. The dates will be posted on the web site, we will not be sending out reminders or calling and asking about grades. If we do not receive your grades and request form your funds will be reassigned to other students. You must help us by totally assuming this responsibility.
Failure to meet the grade requirements, or to successfully carry a minimum of 12 hours, (undergraduate/regular semesters), or to send in your grades and letter of request in a timely fashion will cause you to lose your scholarship as we will assume you no longer will be attending school or that you no longer need T.S.E.F. funds.

Upon completion of the Spring semester your final grades must be in our office no later that June 1st. Upon completion of the Fall semester your final grades must be in our office no later than December 23rd. If for some reason your grades are not available you must notify our office in writing.
