General Information

The Tri State Educational Foundation was granted tax exempt status on July 2, 1999, as a result of the efforts of retired School Superintendent Dr. Bob Ferguson, and his wife, a retired school teacher, Sylvia Ferguson.

Dr. and Mrs. Ferguson are from New Albany, Mississippi. Combined, they have served the School Districts of Corinth, Columbia, Marion County, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Tishomingo County and Picayune in Mississippi, and the Kansas City District, Kansas City, Kansas.

They formed the Foundation for the purpose of providing financial support to those persons who seek ways to better themselves through educational measures.

Tri State Educational Foundation has a five-member board of directors and an Executive Director who attends to the day-to-day operations for the Foundation.
